Acid Pro 7 sound change

Have used Acid Pro 4 (AP4) for years and decided to upgrade this weekend to AcidPro7. I ordered the CD and have only downloaded the trial version thus far. The CD hasn't arrived yet but I started using the trial version by opening a song I was working on in AP4 to see if it was compatible and was surprised that everything sounded great. I have worked all weekend on this song and was just tweaking the final mix before rendering it. I wanted to use the Master Bus for final mixing and never could find it. Only the "Preview Bus" was showing. After some investigating I found the Master Bus and when I played my song now many of the loops had changed in sound quality. The main loop I was using that formed almost the entire basis for the song was now very muffled sounding. Others sounded brighter and louder. I didn't think I changed any settings but maybe I accidently did because I was poking around a lot on the features to see what I could find. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I didn't think the sound of the loops could change if you didn't edit them. My entire song is ruined unless I can fix whatever it is that changed. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
nxs

That's not a problem because I installed it on a different computer that I have AP4 on. So I still have the original recording without all the changes I made in the AP7 demo version. What I wanted to know is what could cause the loops to change in sound like that? They worked fine for 2 days then all of a sudden everything changes and they are all muffled sounding. Other loops still work fine. My live guitar parts that I recorded still sound the same too. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this? I have uninstalled the demo version on the laptop I downloaded it on and tomorrow I should get the full AcidPro7 delivered to me so I will re-install it and see what happens but I'm not too hopeful. I hope I didn't waste my money upgrading to this version.....nxs

The one thing that I have been able to determine is that it has nothing to do with acidpro7. Something changed on the system that I use acid pro7 on (a laptop) that changed the sound of this loop. Perhaps it is the Vista OS as opposed to XP? A recent windows upgrade that I had to download? I don't know what. But I found the original loop on my XP computer. It played fine. I copied and pasted the loop onto my Vista laptop and it sounded muffled when played thru Windows media player. I found the original Sony loop CD and played it on my laptop and it was also muffled sounding. What I don't understand is why the loop sounded fine when I first played it on my laptop through acidpro7 and now it won't play it properly. That is puzzling to me. Any ideas?

It could be the Vista Audio Drivers not meshing with the AcidPro setup. I've heard that Vista tried to implement a new audio driver that does not play well with other programs.

If you know how to, revert to earlier drivers, if only to see if it will work. Vista should still have the "XP" sound drivers in it somewhere. I've read that it does, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

WE COULD REALLY USE A WINDOWS EXPERT HERE!!!

I found the problem. Somehow, someway, one of the settings on my Realtek internal speakers on my laptop was set to "voice compression" instead of "no selection". How this was changed is a mystery to me. And why it only affected that one loop makes no sense either. It must have been something I did through AcidPro7 that I didn't realize I was doing at the time. What a nightmare that was. At least it wasn't something inherent in AcidPro. I'm back to recording again!!
