HELP!! Error Message when loading song in Digital Performer 5.1 - ID=102

Hi, I'm having an issue when trying to load a song I was working on the night before in Digital Performer 5.1. When I boot Digital Performer I get an error saying

"An error occured while reading from the disk. The file(songname) was not loaded. ID=102."

This song was loading fine for a few days. Also, when I try to open other songs DP works perfectly fine. Most of these songs are stored on an external hard drive since I use a Macbook Pro in my audio equipment setup. The drive seems to be working fine because I am able to open other DP songs and other files on it. I attempted to copy the song folder to my desktop and it still didn't work-same error message. Any one with insight on what could be the problem, be it if it's a Digital Performer issue or a Mac issue or a external harddrive issue and how to remedy would be greatly appreciated!!
