Is there any free mixing/multitracking software other than Pro Tools Free? PT free doesn't work with Win XP, and I can't tell the good from the bad and ugly with the other free stuff out there.

Have any of you used any quality freeware/shareware for multitracking?

None of the freeware multitracking software is that good, but there is some, look in the freeware section of our links pages, you will find some.

Ultimately, you get what you pay for. When it comes to multitracking apps, anything under $150 or so most people find very limiting and kinda cheesy, tho some people like them...it's all a matter of what you need to do with them.

I'd take a look at N-tracks. It is Shareware and only costs about $80 for the 24track regestration. I use it and it works very well. You can download the Demo at
www.ntrack.com
