Sampling Challenge for composers/producers

Hey All!

A new monthly series of sampling challenges has begun at Illegal Art (home of Girl Talk, Steinski, Junk Culture, People Like Us, The Bran Flakes, etc.)

Western Swing 78s Challenge is the first installment of monthly sampling challenges in which participants will sample material according to rules laid out by Illegal Art and create and submit an original composition.  The person chosen for creating the most compelling composition will win various prizes, one of which is to have Girl Talk record the winner's voicemail message!  For the complete list of rules and prizes visit illegal-art.net/shop/#demo .

Future challenges may include, but are not limited to:
-Gamelan drum machine
-Creating a beat for a semi-famous hip hop artist
-Household items
-Tom Jones remakes and Rihanna redo's
