Vintage tube compressors, eq's, worth it?

My band is going into the studio soon and we have our choice between two studios. One is full of old tube recording equipment.

and one is all pro-tools, or digital.

Was wondering if anyone had thoughts on whether or not we should spring for the older stuff, I feel like it would be better, but like I said and why I'm posting at all, I'm not sure

Thanks ahead for the advice!

I think the quality will be determined by the engineer more so than the equipment. I'd listen to some sample material done by each engineer and decide that way.

First link worked, I agree though that listening to samples (of your style music) is the best route.

I know two studios in my town that I would be willing to give my business but would honestly lean towards one or the other depending on what I am playing.
