Hay , everyone , I have not tried this yet so I don't know if it's going to work but I was wondering if any one has an Alsis DM5 drum module or one like it , I use it with as my "brain" for my electric drum set and I would like to switch from settings ( like you would do with a guitar from clean to distortion ect.) . The main question is could i hook up a midi foot controller to the midi inputs and use it it change the different settings instead of reaching over while i was playing to change them ?

Yes indeed you can. It is just a mater of settin up your kit's just like you would set up patche's on your processor. You just have to remember you are limited to 21 kit's. I do that for custom kit's all the time. You can even hook it up to your PC and have the PC change the kit via midi. And to go one step further. You can send a sysex command to load differant patche's while you are playing the it.
