Anything good or bad to say about it? I have about had it with my Focusrite soundcard and want to get a little bit of a feel for mixingoutside of the box before spending a lot of money on a full digital board like the Tascam DM-3200. I figured this would wipe out the need for that soundcard and also give me a little exposure to mixing with actual faders without spending a great deal of money (yes I realize these are only 60mm faders and probably not the best touch and feel quality, but you gotta start somewhere).
I currently run Digital Performer on a Mac and understand it is pretty compatible with that so no real concerns there. Currently, I have all instruments and the mic running through a patchbay, then an anaolog Miackie mixer and the focusrite soundcard (some people probably just cringed). I have a seperate focusrite voicemaster pre which is dedicated to the vocal mic so I wouldnt be relying on the 1082's phantom power or anything. Maybe I just want a change (does anyone else go through this with their studio) but any advice would be appreciated...
