Feb 04, 2010 10:33 am I think the vocals are really over, like too loud. The backing band is way in the back, so any shots, riffs, or other fills by the band doesn't speak counterpoint with the singer, only a faint background sound. The horns are supposed to almost slap you, in between the singer.
Listening again, the band starts nice, and balanced, except for the drums. they sound to low and dark. nice drumming, but the sound coming through is pretty flat, which is a shame because they sound nice otherwise.
The content is stellar, did you track these? or is this a canned project? Very nice song and performance. Sounds like whats-his-name singing, not frank, but the young kid. eh, oh well.

But yeah, I don't know how you tracked the tunes or if it's straight karaoke but the singing is quite fantastic, good job!
