UCA 202 Help - Trying to record music from computer

I want to record along a cd or music generated from my computer (youtube, karaoke). I have this sound card and a behringer fx mixer.

I downloaded the Asio drivers and I can hear the music but the recording software Kristal or energyXT won't pick up the music coming from the computer.

I had a M-Audio 2493 (I think that's the model) soundcard and it came with a monitor mixer that enabled me to capture the music from the computer but I can't seem to find how to capture using the UCA 202.

Anyone been able to do this?

UCA 200 and 202 are two very complicated interfaces to set up haha. But you have the drivers, which is good, thats a start.

On your actual mixer, say your mic is connected to channel 1, make sure the main button is pressed corresponding to that channel towards the bottom. This should work, as you seem to have done everything else right. Also, just ensure you've wired the UCA up properly, the input of the UCA should be connected to the output of the desk.

Also, if I remember correctly the behringer FX has two red knobs under AUX for each channel, the lower of these red knobs; make sure it is turned up the appropriate amount, not too much though or you'll start clipping. Try all of those things, if theres no joy holler back.

Also, I'm not familiar with the software you're using, but energy XT isn't great by any means. It's the one that comes with the mixer I think.

I suggest going to reaper.fm, and trying it out. They let you try the full software for 30 days I think, and the private lisence is something like $30. I found the mixer slightly easier to use with reaper.

Okay more detail here:

I found my 2496 Delta M-Audio Card. I have a Behringer UB1202FX Mixer.

I have the CD/Tape to CTRL pushed in. Mic is in Channel 1.

CD/Tape on the mixer: Out is going to the IN on the Delta and the IN receives the connection from the OUT in Delta.

I can hear music from my computer and mic just fine.

I tried CD/Tape to mix pressed in but sounds weird.

I have my old copy of Sound Forge and was able to record sounds from the computer but I can't for the life of me get any sound feeding into Sound Forge now.

I know the Delta M-Audio card had patchbay routers (control panel) but not with Win 7.

I'll have to try reaper.fm then.
