I have a delta 1010 LT just installed on vista ultimate 64bit, cannot get any sound, i have disabled the Realtek as i was not sure if i could run both and still no sound although i am receiving a signal in the Delta mixer, sorry i am new at this set up, is it something really obvious that i am missing? i need to get this up and running pretty urgently as i have some recording to get finished. I will be connecting it to Cubase 4 and a Roland JV Synth. Looked on the forum but cannot find any reference to this problem Forgot to mention i have uninstalled the card and driver three times now. .I would appreciate any advice.

In my Experiance the Delta will run fine with anothr sound card. No need to disable it.

First up make sure Cubase is using 'M-audio ASIO' in 'Devices -> device Setup'

Then make sure you have set up the output to point to whatever you are using to hear. i.e Studio monitors or back though the mixer or whatever.

This can be done in 'Devices -> VST Connections -> Outputs'

Let me know if this helps.

ASIO by spec will only allow multiple audio devices if they are the same and the driver is specifically written to support it...

That said, if the Realtek isn't using ASIO or ASIO4ALL you could be able to pull it off. Does the Delta have a WDM driver? Realtek does I believe, using WDM rather than ASIO may help.

I totally agree with your conclusion, i am suspecting the actual Delta 1010LT driver and it's compatability with vista 64, contacted m-audio but no conclusion as yet, really appreciate your help guys. if i get a resolution i will post the answer . Cheers Linz1

Good luck.

I do see m-audio.com has different drivers for Vista 64, Vista 64 SP1 ans Vista 64 SP2...so you may want to verify which service pack you have as well.

I seem to remember mine having a fit like this when I first got it (~6 years ago).

I think I may have played with activating out 7/8, to get out 1/2 to work. seemed kinda hokey, but it worked after that. Play around with the settings for output in the mixer panel, as you can see where there's signal in the mixer panel, or control panel. I think there's 2 panels in the maudio control program that shows channels.

Not saying that is it, but worth a try. After that the thing was a tank, though it didn't stand up to a fire very well =/.
