I am starting to get back into home recording and i have alot of fun recording onto cassette for local bands and my own stuff off of CD for private listening.I was wondering out of the Sony UX-PRO,Maxell XLII-S and the TDK SA-X tape which is the better tape?I have used both the Maxell and TDK but never the Sony UX-PRO which i can still get on-line even though it has been discontinued.I have been told that the Sony UX-PRO was the best high bias tape ever made but i have never had a chance to use one.How does the UX-PRO stack up and in everyone's opinnion which tape is the better choice? Thanks very much for any help in choosing one..PEACE.Keith H.

If you can find them, the TDK SM-X series are the best I have used. they are more for studio use. I used to use them for demo stuff all the time. Now everything goes on CD, so I have an abundance of them laying around. I still use them on occasion when someone wants a cassette. I think Musicians Friend or Guitar Center might still carry them.
