Oct 30, 2009 05:30 pm Here's the thing...it looks a little bit fishy when someone joins the forum and then their first post is to pimp their own website/business. That might be seen as SPAM by some. This is from our forum rules (posted on the first page): Quote: Don't advertise in the forums We have a "classifieds" section for buying and selling gear, finding bandmates and the like, don't post them here. We also have a links directory for promoting your website and link/banner exchange programs for a limited amount of associates. Contact administrators for advertising information, they'll be glad to work something out. Also...your link had an extra comma in it, but I fixed it for you. Jim PS Welcome to HRC. |

Oct 30, 2009 10:52 pm It pretty much is spam when he does it twice in a matter a minute. Lets see if he returns to read this or not. If not it gets wacked. |

Oct 31, 2009 11:29 am Most of the SPAM that we get is related to home recording...that's why they SPAM us in the first place. It's still a shady practice and a clear violation of the forum rules that the Administrators are trying hard to enforce. I'm just trying to help them out... Maybe I'm becoming the SPAM Czar? |

Oct 31, 2009 04:11 pm Well, the party in question is Chris Steinmetz. While I know he does have a background in mixing/enginering it puzzles me why he would not simply stop and introduce himself here first. |
