I found out that Playing for Change Tour is starting on the 20th of this month.

One of the first dates is here around Philly at the Keswick Theater. Which will be on the 27th.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are not carrying production on the tour. Because, if they are not, I stand a chance of working the show as the monitor engineer.

I'm waiting to hear back from Mark Johnson (who started Playing for change) to see if this is the case or not.

I'll keep you guys informed. And Yes! If I get a chance to talk to Mark, I will direct him here to the HRC. I know somebody was going to remind me to do so. :)

Ya, I've been looking for a date coming here and haven't seen one yet. I think MN is the heart of the midwest so you would think they would stop here. Maybe they'll go to Iowa.

And indeed, that might light the fire again. I know for me I'll be able to jump back on it after Tuna heads back out on Saturday. He was here for 2 weeks leave before he heads to Kunsan, Korea. Their battery is stationed at the airbase right on the Yellow sea. I'm talking the beach is like 150 yards from his barracks.

I saw those guys on one of the late night shows not too long ago. I had watched the video that one of you guys posted in that really long thread, and I recognized the main guy with the overalls, red shirt, and one eye darkened on his glasses. They played Stand By Me, I believe.

That was Grandpa Elliot. He has the coolest voice for that song. And ya, that is the song that started the whole thing rolling so I would imagine that they would do that.

Hard to say if they will do "Stand by me" or not.

Being that the man that started the whole thing off (Roger Ridley) past away. :(

So, they may skip that song out of respect.

If I get the chance to work the show, I'll post a copy of the set list.

It was in 2005 that Rodger passed away. I know they have been performing it without him on several occasion's. So I am pretty sure they are keeping his memory alive by doing so. Since Rodger was the whole reason Playing for Change's music video's came to be. Him singing on the street was the inspiration behind how it turned out.

I sure hope they keep performing it.

Well, Mark accepted my friend request on Playing for Change. I didn't get a message from him yet. But, I'll keep my fingers crossed that I will get a chance to mix monitors for them.

Well, I'm sitting backstage with the band. Waiting for the show to start.

As soon as they do, I will take some shots, and post the set list.

Sound check went very smooth. So the show should be really good!

Sorry that I didn't get the set list from Mark. I'm seeing him again in the morning. I'll see if I can snag it then.

Great night, with great people!

I have over two hundred pictures to sort though. I'll post some of them when I get a chance.

If you have the opportunity to go to the show, DO SO! One of the best show that I have ever worked!
