Which mic would be better suited for vocal recording( Apex 460 or 480) with a Fast Track Pro? Also would I get a better end product if I added a mixer?

Sep 30, 2009 09:24 pm The 460 would be the better choice in reality. I'm not hip on the new wave of so called Tube mic's at all. The 460 will give you a good all around mic at a near fair price.
As for adding a mixer. The Fast Track Pro has a decent pre amp in it already. Not premium but not crap either.
Unless you are adding an extremely high end mixer then the anser would be no.
