Okay so when I am on this site.. my personal option menu (with items such as Edit your profile, Customize your profile, playlist, etc etc) does not drop behind pages or diminish up into a drop down button. It hangs and covers up quite a bit. I am using explorer. Something I can do to remedy this on my end?

I think in IE8 you can turn on compatibility mode.

Or get firefox.

Or chrome.

Though I still like FF for various reasons.

go to "tools" up top there in Internet Exlporere and choose "compatability view" and it'll be cool as.

Yep, it is the need to turn on compatibility mode.

aachaaaaaa! Thanks! Looks like it should now.

I tried Firefox on this XP computer..but for some reason it was slower.. that I do not understand... went back to IE.

BTW.. is it correct that updates from Firefox will come from many different mirror sites from different countries? I was going to update it but everytime I clicked UPDATE, the file was first from Japan.. then Romania etc etc.. decided to cancel each time out of paranoia.

I use IE8 and even though the menu does go away after I changed to compatibility mode, the menu still hangs down for a second or so after the page finished loading.

Does anybody else have this happen as well? It's not any sort of fatal error or anything, just a strange cosmetic thing.

Yeah, that happens for a lot of people, that is just the rendering of massive amounts of JavaScript...it's crazy how much is going on to render some of this cool stuff.

Oh, I wanted to mention something that I thought of the other day. It's kind of off-topic to this thread, and I'll start another if need be. But I've recently joined the smart-phone generation, with mobile web browsing and all that jazz.

I noticed that even though the main HRC page and a lot of the other pages end up formatted somewhat nicely on a mobile browser, do you have any plans to make a mobile version of any of the HRC content? Specifically the forum pages, and the text-entry box for posting comments are a little wacky on a mobile browser. It might be good practice for the next generation of itty-bitty screen browsing that's becoming so popular. I've only had this phone for a few weeks now but it's quickly becoming the main way that I browse the web.

Tadpui, which phone and service to you have. Tuna is on my Verizon and uses a Blackberry 8830 world phone without any issues. Although he doesn't post we tried surfing here when he was home for Xmass and it came up OK. I'm wondering if it is certain browser apps that might chop it up a bit.

I'm with AT&T on a Samsung Inspire. It's no iPhone but its a very fun phone. Touch screen with the slide-out keyboard.

Most of the site looks OK but its the text entry stuff and menu items that looks ugly. HRC isn't the only site that looks like this for me though. Yahoo's fantasy football pages are a freaking mess. But I go to a dedicated mobile site like NBC.com or the Chiefs blog I visit daily and the text entry fields look fine, along with the rest of their (admitedly boring) sites.

Yeah, I have had the mobile content thing in my head for a while...it's a pretty big undertaking tho...

Mine hangs for a second even on my old Gov pc running IE6. Mobile content would be fantastic :)

Ah yes, that a decent phone.

I'm sold on the Samsung stuff now myself on Verizon. Both Ray and the wife have the Alias II and I think that is what I'm getting as well. They have the biggest keypad for texting and it will open like a normal flip phone or like a mini laptop so I can get my fat fingers on the keyboard.

But ya, Tuna said he had issues with Myspace at first and then after they updated his browser it has been good. I'm not big on the fancy big phone myself but I think I will enable the browser on the Alias when I get it.
