Multiple Effect Windows In Acid Pro 7?

Any idea how to have more than one plug in window open in Acid Pro7? It seems that if I have a plug in and a synth for example there is no problem, but if I try and have more that one of the same kind it will switch the window to the other plug in so I can only use one at a time. Hope this is not the case cause its pretty annoying.

is it just coming up as its own window? i dont think this should be a feature that is exclusive to any one program. have u tried right clicking at the top portion of teh window and selecting always on top? also, somtmies ur plugin doesnt close it, but gets hidden behind the main window when anothe ris opened, that happens in my cubase. u can either minimize ur main track window to see both plugs open or select the already opened plug from the windows menu (on PC) so that the two plugs r at the top of list visible windows.

Yeah its just one at a time.....And I don't know if you have used Acid but there is only 1 main window, meaning that there is 1 X and Square in the upper right hand corner. I know in Cubase there are multiple "main windows" but not Acid. Of course there is is an X for any open plugs or synths or whatever but there is no option (or at least none that I can find) for always on top or something similar.

Ok same thing in Pro Tools as well. However in Cubase yes there is that little nifty "always on top" option so it will do it in there. Am I missing something? Maybe all you guys just so happen to use DAWS that can have multiple plug windows open?

In Audition I can have multiples open but they all have their own tabs similar to the tabbed browsing look. If I undock them to view two at once my workspace would be a mess but; I guess technically I could have multiples open/viewable at the same time :)

Well I don't think I would be needing that kinda view all the time but it would be handy when I did.....Dosen't seem to be that many Acid users in here it seems.

Ya, that kinda sucks that they don't just do it. I've been able to do that in Sonar, actually all the way back to the Cakewalk Pro Audio days. You could open as many of the same pluggin as you wanted if you had the screen real estate

Have you hit the Sony tech section with this yet? Sometimes they get back pretty rapidly.

And now that you say that. I can open multiple instances of the same plug in Vegas, why couldn't Acid do it..

I thought you could in Vegas too! I don't know man, its weird. I'm hoping that it does, but its probably listed in the manual under some other name or procedure you know what I mean? Or its some side note or tip when there explaining something else....

Ya, I'm not finding anything on it either in the data base's I've checked on. If I get time I'll try and DL the manual and scan through it quickly.

I just thought of something quick here.

Are your effect windows docked? If so, there should be a way to either drag them out of the dock or maybe a context menu item to undock. Then you should be able to open multiple DSP windows.

Just a thought.
