More opinions on Joe Meek please

Sorry to drone on about this.

I know everyone told me to be patient and hang out for a VC3Q but i've just seen a VC3 on ebay for £65. This is very affordable for me and i'm just wondering weather to go for it.

How does it compare to the 'Q' model. I've read a few reviews and whilst many are complementary a few too many say the pre amp has no kick to it and that there is a drone when phantom power is used.

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm just wondering if these problems are something i would experience with a VC3Q if i were unluckly. Some have said that Joe Meeks Quality control is not too hot.

Like i said, sorry to drone but money is tight and i want to be as informed as possible before buying.
