Hello and welcome back,

Plugins are the effects you apply to a track. When you add a compressor, or reverb, those are plugins.

Did you save the .wav files as 44.1khz 16 bit? That could be a reason why Nero doesn't want to burn it if you haven't. Just thought I would throw that out just in case.

oh redneck!! smart man u r! that was it except that i had it at 24 bit and 48 KHZ, which is where i was told to put it from some idiot lol sheeesh! but will this make a difference in the quality of sound or anything? i now have it at 16 bit and 32 KHZ and it works there??

Well generally I record at 32 bit 48 khz, but Nero doesn't convert it to a .cda file from there. The standard format for an audio CD is 16 bit 44.1 khz. So when you want to burn to a CD choose 16 bit 44.1 khz when you do your mixdown and it should work from there. The sound quality will be the same as any commercial CD.

And as far as your plugins go, the effects are added in when you do your mixdown.

U can use ur plugins, they will just get mixed down when u export ur track.

As far as going to 16 bit 44.1khz, u will, technically lose quality because ur moving down the bit rate which means ur losing information. 24 to 16 shouldnt be incredibly noticeable, but to be on the safe side u should also load in a dithering plugin and set it to 16 bit just to make sure that any loss to ur file is done in a musical way.
