i'm excited. let's talk about it before the preseason

vick continues to suck and woe to the team that signs him and i hope it's not the steelers and i can't believe they seem to be thinking of it. if that happens, i will have to leave the room on downs he plays.

ben be innocent.

latest commercial (regional) is at the very least closer to manning-level.

I was FAR more excited when it looked like Favre was coming to MN...something tells me that drama isn't over yet, though.

The vikings have not yet signed their #1 draft pick, but otherwise, they picked up some decent players, defense should again be pretty darn strong, but on offense we are still lacking at the QB...if Vick comes in to the picture here, I'll be bummed...

Ya, I don't even wanna talk about football this year as its looking pretty sad for the queens again this year. But who knows, I'm betting Favre just doesn't want to do training camp. So I'm with dB on the drama not being over yet on that subject.

It's a pretty polarizing topic, forty, I have seen about half and half...a lot of people just think it'd be fun to take Green Bay's future hall of famer, cuz, when he is inducted, he'd do it in purple then, just cuz he so hates GB now...personally, I figure he's still the best GB we'd have, even being older and busted up...plus he'd sell tickets and would virtually ASSURE both GB/MN games would end up being Monday Night Football just because of the intensity of the fans and a rivalry at that point.

Yep, seen the same and have to agree with dB.

I'm all for seeing him come here and be our QB. He would bring some interest back to the game for me I can tell you that.

And agree with dB as well it would mean GB and MN get a higher profile game here and there.

The only downside is that if he did come it would add a ton of fire to Zygi Wilf's "buy me a new stadium, taxpayers" push...

Yes, for business owners and team owners...I don't buy the tax payer paying for them when teams are worth millions and millions of dollars.

i dont remember the details but this happened in pitt with both new stadiums. people objected. now they love 'em. of course pitt is bankrupt, as a city. i dont know how this stuff works.

I know it can bring in business to the city, bars and hotels around the stadium profit, the city profits from the taxes at those places and all that...but the overall basic concept of tax breaks for businesses moving to town, for taxpayers to build buildings (stadiums or otherwise) for businessmen with millions themselves, just rubs me totally the wrong way.
