Is it a built in sound card or a certain model of an add on card?

If you can tell us exactly what card it is we can steer you to clearing up what sounds like a bit of latency.

Ok,

Although the Diamond is a nice card, it is not geared towards multi tracking or music recording.

What will probably work is downloading "ASIO4ALL" and then configure Audition to use the ASIO device instead of "Audition 3 windows sound" (or similar).

ASIO drivers are how you get the low latency multitrack recordings but most gaming/media soundcards normally do not have this support. ASIO4ALL is a nice workaround but not near as nice as having a dedicated ASIO device.

If you bought the diamond specifically for recording, you can probably take it back as it will most likely perform no better than the integrated sound on your PC.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

You could simply nudge one track until the beats line up with the vocals :)
