When did t61 go distributor?

I know in the past, t61 could act as a distributor what with mp3's being sold on Amazon and the like, but since when did they start doing their own distribution? Seems very recently (or I've been blind, whichever) they've gone their own route and opened their own bazaar.

How long have I been in the dark? O_o

Either way, it looks pretty cool with users being able to purchase albums or songs and be able actually tip the artists on top of that. Wonder if I should consider starting working on singles and releasing over there. Hmm... -ponder-

Quincysan, go here www.thesixtyone.com and sign up. When asked for who referred you use noize2u the same as here. You can go listen to my radio and here a myriad of different indy music. People just like you and me. All putting their music up. I've been working with a ton of the artist on there and love it. Many good friends on there now from all around the globe.

And ya, J-bot it is a long way from when you first signed on. They have changed a lot of things on there and most for the good. To keep int interesting to both listener and artist alike.

Cool, I think you'll enjoy it. Lots of different music there. Some not so good but 95% is above average for the most part.

Yeah, it's certainly come a long way. Eh, It sounds like a good deal, so maybe I'll go ahead and accept their terms and start selling some of my tracks on there. My fiancee is also an artist, so I can get her to draw some concepts for cover art and such probably. I don't have any albums ready yet, but I would like to put some art to some of the single tracks I have up, like Lantern or Haven and the like. (which for the record I'm reworking the percussion in Haven because it wasn't my best effort before.)

But yeah, I like the sixtyone, and I think it would be a good experience getting into selling some of my music. I've got another one in the works now, sketching ideas out. The tentative title is "My Crazy Lady Driver" :D I'll need to rework the lyrics a bit though.

Ah well, back to working on the border for our "save the date" wedding card.

Edit: -- I did go ahead and agree to the terms. Now I just have to crank out some higher quality versions of whats up there and click the "sell it" button heh. Wish me luck!

Good going. I know it is going over very well and many listener's and artist's are using the new credit system and its working well. I'm holding off a little longer before diving in as I still am being pandered to by many of them and haven't had to put out a nickel yet, though I have been more then willing.

Argh, they used to have abuy button or a download button. Now it's just download, and sometimes it's free, and sometimes it costs credits. I've even come across creative commons songs that cost credits. I keep thinking I'm going ti be able to download a song for free, and then my hopes are dashed.

Ya, you have to try all the songs in a profile now as they don't have a way to tell you which are free or which are pay for yet right on the main button. I and a lot of others have already complained about it and supposedly they are working on a different download button if it cost credits for the song.

I'm in the same boat as I often find one I like that says its downloadable and it cots credits.
