Hey there,

So, we have the CD done, now what? Well we're working on getting radio play but would like to know your thoughts on what songs you think are single worthy. Looking for the top 3. Let me know what you think.

Thank you!

I would send a press kit with everything you would like considered to the station if they're the audience you're after. Three songs is about right for a press kit, in my opinion. I could be wrong, but I don't think many people listen to the radio any more. There's not much money in the business and people are tired of hearing the same songs all day long. Mp3 players are cheap.

I find it hard to say where you should go from where you're at. Personally, I plan on taking the "Future of the Music Business" course at Berkleemusic.com in the Fall. I just finished a Protools 101 course that was incredible.

Well, my fiancee and I listen to the radio all the time driving around in the car =] There's one station here in Iowa City that seems to have some good stuff. KRNA I think. They seem to play some pretty decent stuff.

But yeah, I'll give a listen and letcha know the 3 I like the most. :)

Edit: well, damn you've got a few that are tying for first lol!

Here's my personal pref for the top 5. I really like Trik, Alone, and Giving In, but I also like Change and Drop The Hammer equally well.

Giving In
Alone
Change
Trik
Drop The Hammer

Well, I won't debate whether radio is dead or not but singles are still needed to promote a band. Thanks for the input J-bot, it helps. Anyone else?

Oh ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Singles are still the top priority for pushing a band whether its gets on the radio or not. Tune in any collage radio or go here minnesota.publicradio.org...es/the_current/ and listen. This is the most progressive non commercial radio station in the country. Listener supported (yes I'm a huge contributer) and you never know what you will here. No top forty crap that is for sure.

Rez, I will get to listening again tomorrow. I'll drag Ray and his GF in here. He has already listened to most of it and digs it so getting him and his GF and myself will pick 3 as well.

Remembrance sounds like a single to me.
Alone could work.
Change is a good song, to me it's not as strong a single though
The chorus on Hunger is single-ish, but the verse parts are not...
Inner Dialog sounds like a single
Trik could be a second tier single
Cypress is your number one single in my opinion (wish I could hear the vocals a tad better though)

So my top 3 in order are
1) Cypress
2) Remembrance
3) Inner Dialog

And this is coming from someone who listens to a lot of radio, but hardly any rock (radio or otherwise).
