the guitars far outshine the drums.....very nice sounding and organic, excellent tone and what's that reverse thing i'm hearin' in the very first few seconds....very cool

the drums are a bit lifeless to me, this is kinda hard one to get over when sequencing....i like to very the velocities (not randomly) and add some real quiet ghost notes (usually on the snare or hats) to add a bit more life to them....also the panning of the ride is a bit distracting...i'd bump it closer to the center some.

the bass is a bit undefined to me, but it complements the overall feel nicely...maybe some more mids so you'll be able to hear it on small speakers....i'm guessing this is what you did the sidechain compression thing....donno what or how you did it, but it adds a nice "bowed" effect with the attack envelope.

yeah, i totally agree whosyourdaddy,

the guitars sound fine and nice, but the drums seriously have no life to them. they detract from the overall song for me. With so few instruments, i'm sure you can infuse more life into the song by treating the featuring/treating the drums differently.

the tinnie returns! hey mate.
are you using the multitrack option of EZdrummer?
ie: do you have individual access to all the seperate drums fro mixing?

hey, tune sounds great and like was said the guitar sound is killer and also like said the drums r a bit pushed back in terms of volume and need to be treated for a more organic sound, i would say do the velocity to get it sounding human but then go a step further and try using other reverbs beyond the room control on EZdrummer just to give it a new space, i fear that so many ppl use EZdrummer and its main samples now that even though it sounds very convincing ppl will soon easily recognize those samples.

the bass, if u dont have a guitar to play it out i have always felt there is no point in fighting it and trying to mimic a plucked bass, u could always use a bass synth or the lower end of a keyboard. itll give u the bottoms u need and at the same time add a new dimension

Much better than the last version. The guitars are awesome. Here's a little trick for EzDrummer. Import your mixed stereo drum track into Adobe Audition, then under effects, look for a Multi-Band compressor that Audition comes with and use the preset "Pop Master".

You won't believe what it does to your drum track, it just sounds unbelievably real.

And if you want me to master the track for you, hit me up at my website. I only charge $25 per song.

God bless and good luck!

Mike.
