Hi all,

This is my first post here. I'm a newbie. About 6 months ago I bought I a BOSS DR3 drum machine for my home studio, because I like the sounds, the price and the features.

Problem is, I've found this thing is REALLY DIFFICULT to program! :) Its really not intuitive at all! Can someone help me with any tips? Scrolling the menus and programming features for a song is really tough!

I'd like to be able to do different tempos and articulations within the same song (like going from snare to rimshots etc), if that's possible with the DR3.

Any help would be very appreciated!

It should all be in the manual. But it would take about 4 pages to go through all the details here. So best bet is to follow this link and watch all the tutorials they have for it on Youtube and the like.

Otherwise if you did not get a manual you can download it from the Roland/Boss website.

I've worked through the manual two or three times now, and with each successive time I'm more confused.

I've found the YouTube clips and the DVD from which they came. Should I buy the DVD?

I guess, if the manual isn't doing it for you then that might. The Youtube stuff didn't get you headed in the right direction?
