Can't Record in Stereo USB

Okay so its been my life long dream to be able to pan two mics one left and one right, one for a vocal and one for a guitar.

I am using a Bhringer mixing board and it has all the capabilities. I can get it all to work through the head phones, but once I transfer it into the computer recorded onto cool edit pro Via the behringer U control usb sound card, and the just now bought IMic by griffin.
Everything comes in mono.

I can get it to work if I by pass the usb sound cards and use my line in on the computer but that channel has the gain boasted so high everything is distorted that is why I have to use a USB sound card.

Does anyone know if its just the sound cards that I bought or is it just my stupid HP Laptop?
I bought the IMIC cause I swore someone told me it had a stereo left and right input line in but I have my doubts now does anyone know?

oh Also this is not the IMIC 2 it is the gray Imic I am guessing its the older version

The Behringer U control is not a reliable interface at all, and the griffin as well is not a good piece.

You would be much better off with one of the units from the likes of M-Audio or something of that sort.

yea, i personally havent had any good situations with m-audio gear that interfaces digitally, i have some decent 100$ monitors. but with m-audio, its a personal bias against it, just bad situations,

now my favorites for cheap but bang for your buck are just about anything from tascam.
im sure some people have bias against them too, but i use many tascam products, and in terms of interfaces, i lvoe thiers.

thats just my opinion, and you will hear a million more in terms of gear
