I am running Sonar 6 PE with a M-audio projectmix. I have a bunch of rack gear that i would like to incorporate for my mixing sessions. here is what i have
Behringer patchbay
Alesis 3630 compressor/gate
Rane Dual band eq
BBE Sonic Maximizer
Im trying to find a way to route this to individual tracks during mixdown...My board doesn't have inserts on each track for effects.
Anyone have any ideas on how i can use this gear with my board and with sonar. Is it even worth using or should i just use the internal sonar equipment?

Mar 23, 2009 11:36 pm For the most part - considering the gear, you'll probably get better performance just using the stock plugs in Sonar.
3630's are "okay" for live use, BBE Sonic Maximizer's are "okay" if you're in 1979 and you're doing high-speed cassette dupes.
What model on the Rane...? Although the better Rane EQ's I know are actually AD-DEQ-DA units anyway...
But if you want to mess around with it some, all you do is route out to the unit and the unit out into a different track's input.
