Hello,
I made some drums using Acid pro + ezdrummer(vst) and I would like to export to ableton live 6 to mix with some guitar, bass and vocals.
What's the best way mix the drums?
1. Export each midi track (snare, kick, etc) to live6 and mix them separated.
2. Export each midi track as WAV file and mix them separated in live6.
Thanks!

Mar 07, 2009 11:08 pm Either way would work fine, but exporting the midi file(s) would allow you to make changes such as replacing a snare, kick, etc, and further working on the beat it self should the need arise without having to go back and redo things in Acid.

Explaining a little better my question...
I have my drums made in one single midi track with the ezdrummer plug-in.
Normally you have each piece of a drum on it´s own track recorded in a WAV. But this is different because I have ALL SOUNDS IN one single TRACK in Live. This does not allows me to put a different EQ separated to the snare or to the kick.
So, what do I do?
Cut the midi from the kick and snare to another two tracks?

Mar 14, 2009 08:30 pm Well Live should be able to to load EZdrummer and you can eq, add effects etc, and I believe you can route EZ's output to separate audio tracks if you want, or route to a stereo track or you can export each piece to a separate wav and work that way, either way will get the job done.
