i record through my Marshall 15CDR line out into my PC.it gives amazing results(i'm using only the clean channel for now.but sometimes hen i play the guitar,it sounds good on the speakers but when i have finished recording and listen to it it sounds scratchy.Please help!

Jan 30, 2009 07:36 am probably overdriving the input on the computer interface. digital clipping sounds terrible, all scratchy, etc.
Try and turn down the level of output from the amp line out, if you can. Or maybe drop the master volume if there is one.

Integrated stuff can't handle something like an overdriven guitar.

Sorry to say, but the little sound chip that is built into all MoBo's is not up to the task of recording things like that.
But as pjk stated you can try and turn things down a bit and see if that helps.
And as BH stated, if you can upload a sample of what you are hearing it would help immensely.
