Jan 15, 2009 12:07 pm Am at work and not using monitors, but I can tell you I like the song. Very well written, upbeat and good performances all around. Vox seemed to get drowned out here and there though.
Jan 15, 2009 04:51 pm Drums seem a bit muffled. And kick seems a little boxy. The guitars sound good but a tad loud.
Reminds me of some old Blink. haha.

Jan 16, 2009 07:16 am cheers guys!
i was thinking about rerecording the drums with better sounds and the vocals anyway so thats for definite now! and ill take the guitars back in the mix.
i have a hjuge problem getting the bass right with cut off frequencies etc depending on the many speakers i need to try it on cause of my lack of decent monitors!
all this helps very much though, thanks again

Jan 16, 2009 06:59 pm Yep, really liked the sounds of everything. Placement is the thing to work on with the drums and vocal's.
I think the drums may have a bit too much reverb and that is what is setting them back in the mix. Maybe tweak the reverb down a bit and bring the level up to get them forward in the mix a bit.
Vocal's may need the same treatment as well. Although I couldn't really tell if it was the reverb or just simply needing to bring the level up slightly on the vocal.
But overall, loved the arrangement and sound if it. Very well done indeed.
