Hey, ive been trying to figure out this issue for a while now. Basically, I have my primary Sound Card on my PC which is hooked up to my Surround Sound kit. This sound card is also hooked up to a 3-way input select posing as Line-In, so that audio from my TV, PS2 and other peripherals can be routed to the surround sound speakers via my PC - all I have to do is easily turn a dial to select where i want the audio to come from.
This is fine for normal use however, I also have a set of Headphones that were bought for me which are USB. This poses a problem since Windows detects them as two seperate Sound Cards.
If its late at night and i dont want to be making loads of noise, i switch off the surround sound and go to my headphones (duh), but i cant have the audio from the TV (for example) playing through my headphones :( because its a different sound card as far as Windows is concerned.
So is there anyway of getting the Line-In from my actual Sound Card to Output through to my Headphones which are perceived as a different Sound Card all together?
Thanks alot for replies, greatly appreciated. Unfortunately i havent been able to find any appropriate discussions about something like this. My case seems to be quite unique ^^
