DP-01 Headphone jack problem

Or else, I THINK it's a problem with the headphone jack.

Just got new headphones and when I plugged them in, I could only hear out of one side, so I toggled it around a bit and then the sound switched ears. But never both ears at the same time and it's really aggravating, as you can imagine.

I tried a different pair of headphones, too. Same results. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it my jack? And if so, how were you able to fix it?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Yep, that would be the socket it sounds like. It is more then likely a bad connection or the tabs that touch jack are not setting against it properly at all. If it is new then I would bring it back to have it exchanged or repaired promptly. If it is used I would possibly pursue a refund as well. But if the price was right and it was used you can probably do the repair yourself if you are handy with a soldering iron and a few small tool's.
