I need to know what driver i need to get for my tascam dp-01? where can i get it from etc.. I am new at all this.

Well, first off that is a stand alone recorder and doesn't really need a driver. It does however need software on your PC if you plan on exporting recorded files to PC to mix down.

Here is the page for the DP which has nothing for downloads.

But I suggest getting hold of Tascam tech support and seeing what they can do for you.
