very weird Windows problem.

OK, so i just took one of my older pc's ( p4 3.0) and decided to use it as my music computer. that is, to put all my music cd's onto it and just use the computer to store music/pictures.

so, this computer was always taken good care of. no virus's before or anything like that.

So, i did a system restore, to restore it to factory settings, just to give it a nice clean out. All ive done so far was install Itunes (from a jump drive, cuase the computer doesnt have internet as of now) and then i just started adding music.

about 1,000 songs later i get a windows XP warning "space on your cd's is running low..."

i say "WTF" because this computer has a 160GB hard drive...cant be full already, all the computer has is windows and the music i've added. after searching my system i traced it to one file. a 144GB file in my windows folder on my C drive. weird enough its a TEXT file.. like a notepad file. though i cant open it, it says its too big to open in notepad, and it wont open in wordpad either... that file is called "RTacDbg"

im scared to delete it, in fear it will kill my windows.

have any of you hear of/had this issue before?

any help would be nice

could it be that you are copying the music into a directory that was previously burned to a CD/DVD and windows didn't delete the CD image so as you add to the directory it increases the CD image file ...

I suppose open the window for the CD drive and see if anything is still there waiting to be burned...

Here's two threads regarding that file. I'll let you read through them, instead of trying to summarize.

That is a common problem with a certain WiFi adapter from NetGear.

Here is a google page with a ton of answers and solution's to the problem.

www.google.com/search?q=R...lient=firefox-a

That text file is simply a log file from the NetGear Wizard which is running and should not be. Use the Windows network wizard instead.
