Please Review Catchy Pop/Rock Song

Greetings gents (and ladies).. I was hoping for some input on a new song I've just completed.

The song is under my profile, first tune.

This song takes a look at seemingly small and insignificant things that we do
but that actually have a big impact on life. Whether it be leaving the house
five minutes too late, getting a surge of confidence, missing a phone call
or turning a car wheel, actions like these can cause more change than they
are given credit for.

Lyrics:
What if I never turned to the right?
I'd a missed you walk into my life
You can't regret who you never have met, or you might

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been

What if I never answered the phone?
Could you spill your heart after the tone?
Would you finally get brave, with the thoughts that you saved all alone?
When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been a different (life)

Life gives plenty of chances each day
To find your stars or just wish them away
It's the littlest things that we do, they can bring the most change

When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

When you're caught between yellow, green, and red
And hope turns to bittersweet instead

When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been
Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been
Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been a different life

I don't like the bass drums. Vocals are a little high for my liking. But if you ask these guys, I don't like loud vocals. Haha.

Sounds pretty good other than that man.

Buddy of mine brought this up too... Your toms ring a little much.

Cynic, yer such a metal head. :-)

The kick on this type of pop really should be subdued like it is. In fact, it might have a bit much click here and there, but not really.

Toms, ya maybe a bit of ring but again. It fits the sticky sweetness of this song pretty well.

And yes, I said sticky sweet. That is based on the lyrical content matched up with the purely pop arrangement.

And yes, I liked this for sure as a pop tune.

I guess I would say the vocals almost appear to be a bit out front. But it fits pretty well and is not drowning out anything.

I'll have more later.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, the vocals are out front, but for a true pop song, it always seems vocals, snare, and bass are the loudest three instruments.

Probably agree about the toms ringing a bit. They are actually gated, but possibly not enough.

Thanks again! Hope to get more constructive comments like yours.
