Who wants to play producer?

OK. I have this song called "The world has let its children down" at

I am happy with the composition although I have a lost verse that I never used in this arrangement. The mix needs improvement. However I am not sure if the arrangement is contemporary enough or whether it smacks the 70's. My options are:

- remix the song as is
- re-record a version in my head that "might" be more contemporary (serious pain).

Would love your thoughts and advise.
