Hey all, been looking around for awhile and finally found the one that was calling to me. I picked it up on Saturday. It's a 2005 Mustang GT.

Hey Rob, I tell ya, it is taking a bit to get used to a manual tranmission with that much power. I don't expect to get too much life out of the tires.

...of course it has rained everyday since i got it :(

Yeah, bad time of year to buy a convertible. Can't get to enjoy it until the spring.

Indeed nice BH. And a convert to boot.

Did you get the 5 speed 4.6 liter Aluminium or did you find a 5 liter?

Either way that is a sweet.

Wanna Race? :-)

Hey noise, this is the 4.6 liter (~300 HP). What are you driving noise?
Here's an interior shot

Wow, that's a really clean exterior and interior. Hope you didn't pay too much.

I need a new car one of these days. Currently driving a 2001 Toyota Avalon, which replaced my 1998 Honda Accord SE. I can say right now, the damn thing's had issues ever since I got it. I don't trust the circuitry, nor do I trust the sensors or the dash lights. And I just finished replacing a battery that went bad a couple weeks ago. (see blog)

Anyway I'm partial to the Scion Tc. Spiffy looking car. Still want a Harley Nighster as well...I know..not a car...but...I want. :P

Eh, maybe I can convince my parents since It's looking likely I'll be moving up to Iowa City next May. And for dealing with the unfamiliar weather conditions up there (i.e. snow) I'll want a vehicle I can trust. My sister can get my toyota, her currently craptacular car can get sold or gotten rid of (it's a mess) But...we'll see.

Honestly, I miss my Honda. I had upgraded the CD player component with a SoundStorm CD/MP3 player, and the car was much much more reliable overall. Sure, the A/C crapped out on it, and it wasn't worth it to get it replaced (which is why it was sold) but the mechanical/moving parts aspect was still solid.

Anyways, grats BH. It looks like a sweet ride.

I've had a couple of sports cars in the past. I had an 87 Honda Prelude and a 74 Celica GT. Sold the Prelude cause the engine was shot. The Celica had a power pole fall an it and totalled it off. I was super bummed about that cause it was all done up with ground effects etc.
I paid $19,000 for the Pony with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I had been shopping around for quite awhile so I know what they are going for and this is a better than average price.
I had thought about getting a Honda again but...well.... it just ain't a V8! Oh ya, and it has a Shaker500 sound system in it so it has 500 watts of power. Kicks ***!

BH, love the interior as well. Perfect color to go with the black exterior.

Sweet on the 74 Gt, I also had one for a bit. Built it up and sold it pretty quickly. It was green and just didn't appeal to me for very long color wise.

Right now I'm driving a 2005 Pontiac Vibe with the GT package sans the 6 speed. Runs a 4 speed auto and no sunroof. Motor is slightly modded from the stock Gt motor to run about 240 HP. Custom Audio with Eclipse head unit, componant speakers with a 12" Kicker Solo Baric for nice tight bass. Amp totals approx 1400 watts. Oh ya, its red with a slight suspension mod and 16" Bridgstones. It is like driving a big go kart.

Hey all,

Thought it would be good to update this thread. Kinda cool cause you can see how it looked when I got it and what it looks like now. This is what I spend my time doing when I'm not doing music. Thankfully it is done for summer and I will have more music time now!
