Cubase SX3- Desperately need help!

Hey everyone,

I've used Cubase for a ages and generally it's been fine but yesterday I opened up an existing project and it now seems the cursor is locked. By that I mean I cant highlight any parts and therefore cant edit any midi/audio in the project. I don't know if this is a genuine error or if I'm just being stupid and have accidentally hit some sort of 'cursor lock' button! Either way any help would be really appreciated as I'm about 95% of the way thru a project and now cant finish it
