Acid Pro 6 and MIDI setup, no playback sound.........

Recently picked up a USB MIDI Cable converter to connect my keyboard with Acid Pro 6. The program came with Native Instruments KOMPAKT/VSTi 120 instrument pack. I selected one of the synths and played some notes on my keyboard, which I can hear and see with the online keyboard. When I go to record I can see the notes I play on the track, but when I go to playback the only way I can hear them is thru the keyboards speakers. I'm thinking I have something connected wrong 'cause the MIDI notes should playback through Acid and my connected speakers. Hardware/Software list below:

Yamaha PSR-50
USB MIDI Cable
On-board Soundcard w/line-in/line-out/mic
WIN XP
Acid Pro 6

It sounds like the midi track is echoing the notes or sending them back to the PSR on playback. Check the midi tracks output and make certain it is directed to the VSTi. Then on the VSTi's audio track make sure its output is directed to your sound card.

You can also look into the track options and turn off the echo midi option.

Thank you, I checked the MIDI options and sure enough I had the midi playback checked to send notes back to the PSR.
