Hi all. Ok heres the situation. Im going to record my first midi. My mate has an electric drum kit and I have Addictive Drums (VST Instrument), a Fireface 800 interface and a MIDI cable. I use Cubase to record. I would like to record him using the sounds from addictive drums and wondering how I would go about it. Any help would be appreciated. There is a keymap in there to help me out. I just need to know how to sync the whole thing together. Cheers, Boe

Well as long as his kit has a module that has a midi out you will be good to go.

Simply plug the midi cable into the modules midi out then into the fireface midi in. Now go into your recording software and open a midi track. Set the input to whatever the fireface is referred to in the midi options section. Make sure that driver is selected for that midi port.

Now set up your VSTi drums however your application needs it to be. Sets its input to receive the midi data from the fireface port and you should be good to go.
