Money wasted in my opinion.

Quote from Ethan Winer's site:
A related scam is cable elevators - small devices that prevent your wires from touching the floor. Like so many other audiophile "tweak" products, the claims for cable elevators sound magical and they surely are.

Hah, a couple of those look eerily similar but are indeed quite classy. I like the green one on bottom.

I must have viewed this product 10 times in the last couple days, reading it, showing it to others, laughing about it.

Man, as Will Ferrell said after the success of "Blades of Glory"..."Never underestimate the stupidity of people" [or something like that].

If they said capacitance, I just may for a second, just might have believed them.

But magnetism? COME ON! Who are these people? And why do they exist?

These articles have to be the most absurd reading I have ever done on the subject.

Ya, I remember using anti-static guns on my LP but they actually worked. You could see particles fall off. One would have to wonder how you magnetize an LP or CD in the first place.

I should make them watch my record player in action... 30 year old head... with a 6 disk changer that drops the next record on top of the previous one while it's still spinning...

zek, first thing I learned at a very young age was never ever stack a record on a record player. The first thing I did with that thing was yank that stupdi auto spindle out and saw it off to just a nub to hold one LP.

But ya, I got a butt load of old school inulator's like that. Anyone willing to give me $80.00 a wack and they can be yours!

As for the de-mag thing. Forget it. On LP's the Disc washer fluid does the de-stating and your good to go, and clean as well.
