Festival seasons for me is just about coming to a close.

The WXPN is one of the largest and last of the season for us. And it is one of the best.

The festival runs for four days. Starts on Thursday, and ends on Saturday.

Each day has a National Headliner. This years was:

The Blind Boys of Alabama

Joan Osborne

We had as many as 8 bands a day, and as few as 5. But, it was really great this year.

Don't know why. It just seemed that everyone was in a good mood, and willing to work with us, instead of against.

We always start each day with a local band, and then go to the national acts.

Each one of the national acts could of headlined. The chooses that were made, would of not necessarily been mine. But I guess that's why I am not in charge.

Nice pix for sure. I used to think Joan Osborne was hot. Not sure now though exactly why. :-)

I hate being a correcter but isn't it Micheal Franti and Spearhead? I dig most of his stuff. Its kind of interesting, eclectic is maybe a better word.

No you are right Noize. It is Franti. I was listening to his sound engineer, who had an accent. So I thought he was saying Fontaine.

He was good. The only thing that annoyed us, was every song he had to remind everyone that "He loves you! I mean he really loves you."

Ya, he is a character. I had met him years ago in the very early days of Spearhead. And it was the same back them except he would be saying "We luv u Mahn" with a thick dread accent going on.

I do like them though, he does write some good songs with a message.
