I would like to be able to mix down my bands recordings. I am using the cuebase se3 and the effects and Eq's dont seem to have enough of an impact on the play backs. Are there any serious impact plugins that would work good for me? any suggestions

Jun 29, 2008 08:22 pm Head over to KVR and have a look there. Plenty of free stuff that will do the job very well. The selection that works on Mac applications is limited a little but if you can still use VST's then you are good.

Jul 01, 2008 11:12 pm I'm a bit confused as to what you mean by effect. There are a lot of effect's to say, but they can all be heard whether it is and mp3 or Cd audio.
If you can be a tad more specific that will help.
Jul 02, 2008 09:18 pm If I were to purchase a good software say I would be willing to spend between 175.00 and 350.00 what would be the best for effects, dynamics, vst compatible, easy use? I am a drummer that is very Familiar with Live sound but this my first try at the personal studio thing. I am considering taking these projects to masterworks and have them finish them for us but I would like to try to mix and master them myself if possible. I am doing something wrong because the songs sound incredible in the playback speakers (Event tuned reference6 biamplification) but when I convert to mp3 alot of dynamics and effects are lost. Its kind of annoying

Jul 02, 2008 11:06 pm You can look at SOnar 7 PE of Sonar 7 Studio. both from Cakewalk, they bundle more goodies then any other software maker out there.
