New Panels, New Mix

Ok. I put up acoustic panels in my control room and the sound is really different now. I know, its suppose to be. I mixed this tune in the new environment. I stuggled with the drums as usual, maybe worse this time. I had not played them in a while. Or guitar for that matter. Been workin on the panels. Anyway it nothing fancy, but I sort of like it. I think maybe the Bass is too strong ? I usually have problems with the bass level (the untreated room screwed with it big time). I have played this on many different systems and it sounds pretty consistant. Give me some feedback. A bit of interest. The second lead guitar work toward the end is actually a Bass plugged into an EpiJr head, volume cranked and its pushing a Marshall Micro Stack speaker. Sounds pretty cool. Fixed the very noticable drum flubs. Also re-eq'd a little also

I wouldn't concern yourself about the drums.

They sound great!

My sound system isn't the kindest toward bass but i heard no problems here.

This is some lovely mixing.

THanks. I really appreciate it. I feel sometimes Im not learning or getting anywhere. But then I listen to the first stuff I did and laugh. I have a country band coming out Tuesday to record and Im really excited. I do alot better as a mixer than a musician. Thanks again

Wow, that mix is pretty solid! I'd love to hear this with vocals. Good work.
