Does The RME Fireface have a EQ operation

I got my RME Fireface 800 today and im wondering if it has EQ capabilities. I know it has a mixer for levels/etc but what about equalisation? Or can I only EQ in my recording software for my final mix? Anyone have any idea. I also got a 8 cable TRS snake with it also. Will I have to run the Fireface outputs to my Behringer XENYX2222FX mixer to use its EQ to run to a final PA or Live mix, and if so how do I go about it? It has channel inserts for each channel on the mixer. What kind of cable should I run. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Boe

I rarely if ever use outboard EQ. There are a very few accept ions but not many. I normally use EQ in the DAW now as you can always change it or fix it if it isn't right. You can't fix it if its already recorded to the track that way.

You can actually simply run a stereo mix with 2 channels out of the fireface to the board and then use its main stereo output's to go to a PA for a live mix.

What happens if I say want to run say 8 analogue channel outputs on my fireface to 8 channel inputs on my Behringer. Would I just plug into the Line input for each of the channels on the Behringer or would I use the channel inserts for each channel? Any certain cables i'd need to do this?

Yep, you can go either way with it. Channels will give you more control over the sound, inserts will simply inject it un-effected into the channel main ouput.

What exactly do you want to accomplish by sending the audio back into the mixer?

To be able to adjust EQ properties and volumes to run back out to a live P.A mix from the Fireface to the mixer to the P.A.

Is this how I go about it?

That should work just fine. I guess I would opt for the regular line inputs then to feed the signal back into for mixing to go to the PA. That should work out just fine.
