May 08, 2008 10:02 pm Well, what exactly doesn't sound right about it? The image looks pretty good, with a fair amount of coverage through the stereo spectrum.
I am wondering if it is an EQ issue rather then a stereo spread issue.
May 09, 2008 09:20 am Well my songs sound thin, like when I record in protools they are fine, but when i record in adobe they are thin..what should I do or eq
May 09, 2008 09:24 am I suggest sticking to ProTools then...
...jeezuz, did I say that?
To me, it used to be like that when I used Cakewalk Pro Audio...their audio engine sucked (in my opinion) but with Sonar they improved it...perhaps Audition's audio engine just doesn't do it for ya...
May 09, 2008 10:40 am Ok thanks I guess i have to stick with protools, I just like editing my waves in adobe thats all

May 09, 2008 10:47 am Do you have a link to some examples? I've been looking at the screencapture for awhile now but I still can't hear anything.
It could be a phase issue. Could be EQ. Might need some compression. Maybe even some verb. Maybe all of the above. Maybe some double tracking. Yup, need to hear something to be able to help.

May 09, 2008 05:45 pm The difference is the bass (meaning the lows) is not kicking in the first one, like it is in the second one. Don't know why that would happen, but that's the issue.

May 10, 2008 08:03 pm Kind of hard to compare two different songs as the content of the beats might be completely different in how they were recorded aside from being done in different DAW's.
But the low end clarity is much better in the PT one. It can also be attributed to the interface that was used for input as well.
But as stated the audio engine from Adobe 1.5 to the newest version of Adobe is very different.
As far as PT what version of PT are you using and what audio interface are you using as well?
May 13, 2008 10:32 am Protools 7.3 and digi 02 interface.

May 13, 2008 02:53 pm What's your process for getting the beats into the software? Are they coming from a keyboard or something? Have you done the same song into both softwares and seen what the difference is? Maybe the source of the "thin" song is "thinner" and it's not the software?

May 19, 2008 07:42 pm Hoe exactly do you embed that WAV player in the post? More importantly, can I embed that in a website so that it can be used by visitors?
P.S.: Turn up the bass--if you A-B them, and one is thin (and it is indeed thin), then the software's mixing section is just a little different, or you've got something "on" in one that you don't in the other. Adjust accordingly.
