PC to MAC file transfer help

I have an INSANE amount of MP3s on my old laptop that I want to put on my new macbook, but for the life of me I can not find a way to do it, short of e-mailing each individual mp3 one by one. This will take me a week solid with 3000+ mp3s.

Someone has to have a way I can pull this off.

I just don't understand.

The computers are networked, both configured to share... can't do it that way.

They both have bluetooth with a file transfer option, can't connect to eachother.

I have so many rare/out of print stuff on this other laptop that I will NEVER be able to find again. There simply HAS to be some way to transfer these.

This is getting increasingly frustrating by the minute.

Any other ideas? Because I'm about to go buy a couple hundred blank CD-Rs and start burning, although I don't really think that will take any less time than e-mailing one by one.

buy a USB card. can't be more than 15$ or so.

install into PC, and load away (onto a flash drive, that is).

here's a list from newegg:

www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...amp;x=0&y=0

second one on the list is 12$.

Go for ones with all eggs lit up in the reviews =)

It's a laptop, so that wouldn't really work for me. I'd really like to scrape together some money and just pick up an external HD, but money is a little tight right now.

Or, if it's older, there are serial -> USB connections too

www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...amp;x=0&y=0

The sabrent one says convert 9 pin serial to USB connection. that'd be the one.

Or get an external enclosure for your old hard drive and make it your new external USB drive. Pretty cheap to do, like 20 or 30 quid, and easy too.

Soooo what I figured out is that I can transfer files from my PC to my sidekick via bluetooth, and then transfer the files from my sidekick to my macbook via USB.

It's slow, it's a pain, but hey, it works.

Its still probably faster then sending 3000 emails I bet.

Glad ya found a solution though.
