hey i was wondering what a good software was that had no mp3 limitations like my trial version of LE? I kinda want to stick to Cubase because I am familiar, but feel free to introduce me to new softwares. thanks

Apr 21, 2008 12:37 am The LAME encoder that Sourceforge recommends/supplies with Audacity is truly lame because it will only encode at 128 kbps. You can use MediaCoder mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ to convert the WAV files from Audacity to any MP3 bitrate you want. It's free.

Apr 21, 2008 10:50 am I think that is more a limitation of Audacity's interaction with lame, than it is of Lame itself...as far as I know if you go directly to that lame encoder via command line it will do higher...I think, it's been a while tho.
