Yes it is in Indiana. The commute would be a bit rough for me though.

No way, man. I've gotten most of my stuff from there, at under MF prices and other outlets.

I got a sales rep / engineer that learns your setup and direction, then helps out with your purchases. Not in a pressure way, but more of a 'helping out' way.

I bought my 454CE for under advertised price, plus got a SM57 for only 30$ along with it.

Then I got my J45 for under advertised price, plus got another sm57 for only 30$ with it.

( i didn't have any yet =) )

But you gotta get a sales engineer for the low prices. I won't go anywhere else, if I can help it.

I also stopped by their new complex in Ft. Wayne Ind. on my way back from florida, via Tenn. I didn't get a thorough tour, as my engineer was gone that day, but it was still pretty darn cool.

Their HR group will help move new employees to Ft. Wayne if you hire in.

Oh yeah, also got my samson headphone amp for around 10-15% under advertised price, plus also got my Furman power thing for less than advertised price.

Yes, I got a killer deal myself. Bought a V-Fire for wayyyy under their website listed price. I also have a Sale Engineer to help me out. Actually I'm really quite impressed with their customer service.

Wow, i just looked through their tour, man, what a place. Half of that wasn't operational 1.5 years ago, so I didn't know about much of it.

Nice.

Yeah, I'm impressed with them too. I called MF to see if they'd beat one of SW's deals, and the guy basically laughed at me.

SW has always been thumbs up.

I've had problems getting gear sent to me in Canada. MF, ZZ and a few others won't send to Canada. I was able to get my stuff delivered to my doorstep in less than a week. Awesome. I will order more from them again for sure.

Jim, do you have an assigned Sales Engineer? Makes all the difference.

I've met Chuck, the owner. He is a greedy SOB. And pjk, you are an exception to the rule. Not too many get that kind of treatment. If you order by phone or via the net, every one I know that has used them got jerked around a bit.

But ya, they have a lot of high end gear and it is great if you can get hooked up with a good sales guy.

No...I've never actually bought anything there. I've only ever drooled over their catalog while I'm sitting on the throne. So, what you're saying is if you get hooked up then you don't really pay those prices?

Personally, I find that hard to believe, based on the experiences I've had, and have heard from others around the net. The two guys I dealt with were great to deal with. And both were more than willing to improve the purchases I was interested in.

But I'm certainly not questioning your experiences, or the one's of others you mention. Maybe they've improved their customer service since then.

Or, like you say, maybe I am the exception. That'd suck. They seem to be all about CS now.

Ha, I'll have to remember that.

Jim, I can refer you to my guy (or BH can) as a referral (i don't get anything, other than warm fuzzys). I can email him and have him get with you, if you want.

My guy is a senior sales tech. My first one was green, and not aligned with my expectations, so I moved over to the guy I'm with now.

I'm just throwing that out there, if you're interested.

Ya, it was a long time ago to be honest so I'm sure things may have changed. They would have had too to stay in business.
