I dont have alot of money as im still in highschool and all but lets say around $400 i could do more but i dont have much more. Any help is extremly usefull thank you for your time.

If you're not already set on PT, then I'd suggest an ESP1010, and reaper. 350$ and great stuff.

Otherwise, PT M-powered is 250, plus you'd need something like the maudio FW1814, since PT M-Powered only runs on maudio stuff.

I don't know how much protools LE is, but you'd need to get digidesign hardware to work with it, and they ain't cheap. specially for 8 inputs, like a 002 or 003. I've heard the 002 is quite capable, but they'll still go for mucho $$$. The mbox line is cheaper, but only 2 channels, I think. You may do a band with 2 channels, but it'd be tough.

I'm assuming Firewire, hence the FW1814. If you can do PCI, then the 1010lt will get you into 8 inputs for 200$. Add PT M-powered, and you're at 450.
