Better late than never. Wish I knew how to put in that little play button. That is just sooooo cool. It's in my profile under:

The little little play button shows with any direct link to an mp3 file...which means it has to be hosted elsewhere to get the direct link.

Hey Walt, I'll be listening tomorrow. AS usual to many things going at once.

Wow, very nice voice and the recording isn't half bad either. :-)

But really, nice capture. So quiet but still present. And by quiet I mean the feeling of it. Is that room reverb or did you use a bit of reverb on it. Very nice sound of it, and the guitar was killer.

Was it one take for both or did you do the guitar/vox separately? It has the sound of one simple take to it. But indeed, let her know it was very nicely done. Nice piece of music.

Tanks for the listen guy! All credit to Trisha. She is really easy to record. Knows what she wants, plays and sings really well.

There are two takes there. The guitar is el-natural and the vox has just a smidgen of verb to try to match it best I could to the guitar.

Trisha told me she put it on some "vote for it" site and hit #1 in a week. She's been getting calls with offers of this and that. I don't think like Sony or MGM or whatever is huge right now, but still impressive.

Wow, this is really good stuff.
First, the recording is impressive, which recording technique, mic and plug-ins did you use for the voice? I'm curious because you came out with a really good sound.

Overall, good composition too. Nice, soothing song! Keep up the awesome work!

I probably shouldn't admit this as I am sure to get a bunch of beef from the gear snobs here but.....

Mk319 through a Behringer 1953 into a delta1010 to C4. Had Trisha in a vox booth made from four cubie dividers. Hung the mic from a stand outside the booth with a chunk of foam sound deadening material behind the mic. Inside C4 just a smidgen of compression to get things a little more under control and a smidgen of verb with waves IR-full. That's it. Nuttin fancy. She just has a good voice and knows how to work a mic. It would be hard for any engineer to screw her vox up.

Walt, that is stellar. But we all know you have pull with the Vet Fest. :-)

It would be worth the ticket price to come see Cry Eloise and Lemon James Band on the same ticket. If Tuna hasn't headed for basic by then maybe he and I and Ray will have to make a good old fashioned road tripp.

And man o man, don't belittle the MK319. You know that is one of my favorite mic's here. And if ya got a good one it is a great choice especially on girl vocalist's.

That would be the most wonderfull thing that has happened to me in a long while. I can only pray nobody from CE reads this, but quite frankly, I'm a little ashamed of them...us. Don't get me wrong, we'll put on a decent show, but well, the musical content is somewhat...ah..lackluster. Now Lemon and Trish...Ya, that will be worth hearing. I will be in the crowd for sure.

Oh yea, I'm not at all concerned about getting flack about the 319. Not only is it a damn fine mic, but it has developed some degree of respect. The Berry 53 however is sure to draw fire. Popular target.

Oh yea, and on the vet fest. (Folks this is not intended to be a plug. The first mention was however) Russ and the boys organizing it really have come a long way in one year. This is really going to be a festival, not just another bar based fundraiser. The other place where I feel compelled to give credit is to our presidential candidates, (folks, don't mistake this for me liking any of them and please don't turn this thread into another God yesno) they have all done a nice job of supporting our troups regardless of opinion on the war. This seems to have altered the opinion of many people and the fest is getting a real good response this year.

Oh yea better add: Free lodging, grub and entertainment if you should be able to pull it off. Better than TravelVascaline!
